Ailing hearts

Living was just at convenience she said

Finding the other heart was a lifetime

Farfetched but secretly she wished

For a moment she felt closer

To finding love in his heart

But the closer she got

The more she tore

Breaking down everyday.
To keep a love that wasn’t hers

To write a story she’d so dreamt of

To find the perfect love song

To dance together.
It was all empty, vague

Out the door he went

Slamming it behind him

Carelessly splashing out words

She wondered if to intentionally break her apart

convenience she said

Love was never gonna be hers.
