Why won’t you?

you grasp tight to me
like your heart depends on it
when we come around
like the world ceases to exist
we lose sanity momentarily
but you’re not here
I search for you
for more than your body
more than words
Laid bare my heart
Poured all that is me to you
Hanging on to life by the last straw I am now
Wondering why you don’t need me
Why you won’t let me in
Pushed so hard already
But the walls you put up won’t crack
Tried love
Thought it’d melt your coldness away
I need you to need me too
But nothing
you don’t want me
you keep me and won’t let go
Why won’t you let me in?
